Harlaxton Summer Writing Program: Courses
All participants will take Writing 490/500

This course provides an opportunity for workshopping short stories, poems, essays, and/or plays with intensive discussion and criticism in a small group.
Students may also choose to take the following course:
  • Literature 350, Shakespeare —In this course, you will study several of Shakespeare's greatest works, including the histories, the comedies and the tragedies. You will also have an opportunity to see a play performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon and to visit Shakespeare's birthplace and home.
  • Literature 399, Independent Study— Design a literature course on something you're interested in and receive one-on-one instruction.
Classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for about an hour-and-a-half each.
