Recent Student Interns
Kate Darby ('07) will begin a paid internship at F+W Publications, publishers of Horticulture and Writer's Digest magazines. Kate will move to Cincinnati, Ohio this summer to begin her editorial work.

Kate Slavens ('07) has begun a paid internship with Tucker Publishing, publishers of Evansville Living, and will work as an editor during the coming year.

Michelle de Boer did a 14-week internship with the Evansville Courier and Press in the summer of 2000.

Erica Vanzant spent the summer of 2000 at Channel 9 WCPO, the ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, where she wrote and edited copy.

Erica Schmidt spent part of 1999 as an intern in the Special Exhibitions Department at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. She researched and wrote programs for a special exhibit of dinosaur sculptures and attended administrative meetings and training sessions.

Janette Pinkerton worked at Patchwork Central, a nonprofit social-service agency in Evansville. She collated the Volunteer Handbook, wrote copy for press releases and fliers, and volunteered in the Tutoring Program. She continued to work for Patchwork after her internship was over.

Sean Davis worked fifteen hours per week as copy editor for the University Crescent in fall, 2000.

Don Chapman spent about ten hours a week in the spring of 1999 researching and writing articles for News4U, a local entertainment magazine.

Carrie Rudolph worked with Jennifer Graban, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Evansville. Carrie edited grant proposals, did database searches, and compiled information for several in-house studies.

Amy Jacknow served as an intern in the Harlaxton / study Abroad office in 1998.
