Visiting Writers Series

The English Coffee Hour

This reading series is generally held one afternoon each month and features a variety of readings by famous and not-so-famous authors, lecturers, and music / literature performances. Recent guests have included Nancy Willard, Molly Peacock, Dave Smith, Al Young, James Ragan, and Naomi Shihab Nye. The final program each year focuses on student writing.

The Andiron Lecture Series

This series draws primarily from local scholars and writers in literature and related fields. Not infrequently, papers delivered in this forum go on to be published in leading literary and professional journals.

The Wahnita DeLong Writers Workshop

Recent leaders have included Sidney Lea, founder of The New England Quarterly; Rachael Hadas; Rhina Espaillat; Dave Smith; Beth Ann Fennelly; and Tom Franklin.
